Jewish education and Hebrew
Jewish education
As you would expect in Cambridge, there are many opportunities to study and explore Jewish thought and practice. There are regular lectures, organised by the Divinity Faculty, the Faculty for Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, and the Woolf Institute, among others.
If you are involved in religious education then check out Judaism GCSE Religious Studies – The Definitive Resource by Clive Lawton. Copies can be ordered from https://www.bod.org.uk/judaism-gcse-religious-studies-the-definitive-resource-order-your-copy-here/.
Ros Landy is offering sessions on introduction to services, the Siddur, the Chumash, or other Jewish topics of interest. Just turn up in Shul any Shabbat, or use the enquiry form on the Contact page.
Learn Hebrew
The Cambridge University's Language Centre provide an Introduction to Hebrew Language and Culture course, which is now available for adult learners from outside the University of Cambridge. More information about the course, including the timetable, can be found at https://www.langcen.cam.ac.uk/culp/hebrew/culp-hebrew.html, or contact Bagir Agajevs on langculp@langcen.cam.ac.uk.
