Cambridge is a beautiful place to visit, and we hope you will enjoy spending time with us here. Accommodation Our shul is centrally located, so all the city-centre hotels are within easy walking distance. The nearest ones are: The Arundel House Hotel Doubletree by Hilton (formerly the Garden House) Further options are available at www.visitcambridge.org All the colleges are within walking distance of shul, but it can be quite a walk for Girton College (about an hour), unless you are staying in Wolfson Court which is much closer. Eating There is one strictly vegetarian restaurant in the city - Rainbow Cafe. It is located at 9a Kings Parade and offers reasonably priced tasty vegetarian and vegan food. (Please note that this restaurant is not under any rabbinic supervision.) Kosher food can be obtained from a number of outlets. Please see the kosher food page for more details. Home hospitality Rabbi Reuven and Rochel Leigh are our Rabbi and Rebitzen, and also run Chabad House in Cambridge where they provide delicious home-cooked kosher Shabbat meals to visitors. To contact Reuven, email rabbi@ctjc.org.uk or tel: 01223 354 603. |
